There was no solution that could capture a full lecture and automatically produce organized, study-ready notes.

The workflow is designed for zero friction. Record your lecture with real-time waveform visualization. Whisper AI transcribes the audio locally on-device — no internet connection needed. You can then review and edit the transcript before AI generates organized notes with summaries, key concepts, and study questions.

The Result

Supercharging Student Learning

Building this project was an incredible learning journey — from integrating AI models and isolate-based background processing to creating a production-ready Flutter app. VNotes successfully bridges the gap between passive listening and active studying, letting students focus entirely on understanding while the app handles the note-taking. Still working on refining features and optimizing performance.
